Twice the recipient of ASCAP awards for children’s music, Wendy Rollin is the creator of teachchildrenmusic.com. Wendy’s five CDs and downloadable music packages have become enduring favorites, in classrooms, libraries and homes across the country and beyond. Her multicultural December holidays song, “Many Lights”, was selected to be played at White House holiday festivities during the Clinton administration. Wendy will be a presenter at the 2010 national conference of the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) in California.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, with teaching credentials, Wendy served as a school music director from 1997-2008, in highly-respected educational community. Her methods and materials were developed and refined throughout this decade of teaching, invention and research. Nominated by the Romney family, she received a special award honoring her accomplishments in the education of children.
A popular conference presenter, Wendy brings her Teacher Presentations and Workshops to an ever-expanding list of teaching organizations and institutions. As noted above, Wendy will be a presenter at this year’s NAEYC national conference. She has presented for the annual conferences of Ohio’s Bowling Green State University, the Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children, the Early Childhood Association of Florida, Macomb College, the National Head Start Association, and the Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools, as well as for many regional groups and conferences.
Also known as “The Piano Lady”, Wendy is an entertainer as well as an educator, who infuses education with fun. She brings to the podium the art of the stage – and playful pedagogy! As a pianist, she has performed for a wide variety of audiences of all ages in many places, including The Ark, in Ann Arbor - and Canada’s Lawrence Centre for the Arts, among a multitude of cultural and entertainment venues.
Joining with Wendy Rollin to bring you the songs and visual materials at Teachchildrenmusic.com – is a diverse cast that includes theater performers, pop vocalists, a children’s chorus, an opera singer, and artists. Renowned illustrator Chris Demarest (Scholastic, Simon & Schuster) drew the 21 sketches included with the KIDS MEET COMPOSERS download. The songs and skits of KIDS MEET COMPOSERS feature opera singer Todd Galloway. Actress/singer Kimberly Adams provides lead vocals in KIDS MEET COMPOSERS — and in many songs throughout the Teachchildrenmusic.com program. Our children’s choruses feature the voices of: Emma Pickett, Clark Doman, Zoe Kaufman, Alex Kaufman, Sabrina Shingleton, Morgan McGuirk, Morgan Breault, Michael Baskins, Maxwell King, Kirsten Snyder, Caitlyn Snyder, Taylor Cranmer and Chase Cranmer, as well as pictures of Corinne Rupp. Singing on various Teachchildrenmusic.com songs are: Rae S.
